If
there was a Rookie of the Year award on the anime convention circuit, it
would have to go to Amy Howard. She didn't know there was such a thing
as anime conventions or fandom until she was contacted by a Star Blazers
fan who had been searching for the English-language voice cast from the
old TV show. Howard, who was the voice of Nova, was invited to Anime Weekend
Atlanta III and had a great time there. Howard had even more fun at Project A-Kon 9, where she
met modern voice actors. During the year, she was initiated into the unique
world of online fandom. After being shown that people still care about
Star Blazers, Howard has started to track down the rest of the original
voice cast with hopes of a reunion at a convention one day.
