Anime Central Day One - Cosplay Preview - April 3, 1998
A Catholic women's group shared the Holiday Inn O'Hare International
with Anime Central. The women had their sign-in desk not far from the area
used for the main activities of the anime convention, and one of their
meetings was right in the middle of Anime Central's crowd. This author
followed a couple of church women as they walked through the hall, amazed
at what they saw. It wasn't just the large congregation of young people
in the hotel, it was the people in anime costumes that amazed and befuddled
the women. Here's a taste of what they saw on the first day of Anime Central:
