| FanimeCon - Day Three - Mari Iijima Concert |
Were Mari
Iijima's two concerts at FanimeCon her last anime convention concerts?
Recently, she's been hinting that she might cut back on her convention
appearances, and the singer and songwriter hinted as much during her first
show in Santa Clara. "It would be right to start at FanimeCon and end at
FanimeCon," Iijima said, referring to her the 1999 concert that marked
the start of her convention tour. Along with a collection of songs from
Macross and her No Limit album, Iijima performed Love of My Life from a
Queen album (she said she liked that group when she was in junior high
school, but her mother "didn't like their chest hairs"). Her son Andy also
made a stage debut, playing some music from the Zelda video game. |
