Pokemon voice actors Rachael Lillis (left) and Lisa Ortiz (right) get a lot of requests for autographs and pictures, but rarely are they the recipients of gifts. One artistic fan gave the actors personalized T-shirts featuring their animated roles.

Hiroyuki Kitakubo is becoming a regular visitor to American anima conventions, having attended Anime Expo in 1998 and Otakon in 1999. The director of the Golden Boy and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series was a first-time Animazement visitor.

Kazuto Nakazawa also was at Otakon in 1999. He designed the El-Hazard characters, worked on the Nadia of the Mysterious Seas and New Dominion Tank Police Series.

Actors Brett Weaver and Amy Howard were surrounded by fans - and they loved every moment of it (Weaver still can't believe he has fans).

Kia Asamiya is camera-shy, but he's amazingly productive for his Studio Tron. He created Compiler, Silent Moebius, Steam Detectives, Dark Angel and even a manga version of Star Wars - Episode One. Asamiya was constantly surrounded during the reception...

...but the most popular person was Yuu Watase of Fushigi Yuugi fame, who drew the biggest cheers when the guests were introduced before the reception. Watase's fans presented her with this homemade stuffed Doraemon at the event.
