Anime Weekend Atlanta - Day One
Friday wasn't a news and information day at Anime Weekend Atlanta. the only thing accomplished was to have a good time, and the acting contingent broke out in a big exhibition of improvisational silliness. That's honorary actor Steve Bennett on the left, part of the improv group with George Lowe, Corrine Orr, Jessica Calvello and Brett Weaver.
It was the old "whose line is it anyway" game, where people on the stage and in the audience thought up topics and the guys on stage had to act them out. Since there's a famed central Georgia chicken restaurant called "the big chicken," fowl were a favorite function of this group.
Then there was the other audience favorite, the anime version of the old Match Game TV game show. Fans tried to guess the answers that the celebrities would give to silly statements with a conveniently located "blank."
Actor Tiffany Grant missed the game when she missed a flight from Texas, so actors Michael Brady (left) and Michael Granberry (right) were drafted as replacements. It got rough for Brady at one point when Calvello chased him across the room. Then there was the question, based on the Domaramu character from Dragon Half, that was so tough that no one could figure out the answer.
