| Of all of the Iijima concerts that this page has seen, Mari may have
enjoyed this one the most. "Tonight I feel good," she said during the show
after the Nan Desu Kan opening ceremonies. She said she took a lot of energy
from Colorado convention fans, and that energy showed from the way Iijima
enjoyed chatting with those fans between songs. "I really, really enjoy
it because people like me. I like it when people are interested in me and
give me attention," she said. Iijima performed a couple of songs that she
said she wrote in response to a recent romance that went bad (and she admitted
that she hasn't had that much luck with men in the last year or so). In
response, she's taking twelve hours of acting lessons each week as she
tries to pursue that part of her career. "It got soo deep that I cried
on stage once or twice," Mari said about the lessons.
