Some of the people who make the costumes that delight convention fans
got together on Friday evening at Neko-Con to talk about their work and
show off their projects, new and old. |
Nicky Froberg, known for the giant Pen-Pen and Totoro-Chu, displayed
a work in progress: the beginnings of the Welsh Corgi dog from Cowboy Bebop. |
Here's another Froberg project: the start of the head of the rarely-seen
true form of Kero-chan from Card Captor Sakura. |
Costumer Tikki told how she got started with a high school sewing class,
made a costume, enjoyed it and progressed to what seems like dozens of
convention costumes. |
And costumer Heather had a new work to show off, a "Christmas kitty"
that could be destined for a calendar planned by Studio Ironcat. |
Some of the most intriguing work shown at the panel came not from cute
females, but from awesome males. |
