Aka-Kon has its own mascot, Aka-Chan. She appeared at the convention's
opening animation... |
...and in person, wearing a costume that matched the animated version
down to the hair color. |
A couple of the people who made the animation were first to be introduced:
Amanda Tomasch, who directed the film and the convention... |
...and costume designer Samantha Evangeline, who created the Aka-Chan
outfit and many costumes for the theater and major movies. |
Viz Video producer Toshifumi Yoshida is at home in Vancouver, where
he creates the English-language Ranma 1/2 dubs... |
...and he brought one of the Ranma actors with him, Richard Cox, the
voice of the male Ranma. |
