anime video tapes from Japan by trading Star Trek tapes to Japanese fans
for anime recordings. |
Then came Steve Bennett of Ironcat, who made the first joke about the
rolling electric blackouts that had hit California in previous weeks: "Hopefully
the lights won't go out until I get off the stage." |
Hiroshi Aro, the Futaba-Kun Change artist whose works are published
by Ironcat, joked that he didn't like leaving his home, but here he was
again at a U.S. anime convention. |
