Middle Tennessee Anime Convention - Opening Ceremonies

AM General's magnum opus, the Hummer, has been turned from military vehicle to the ultimate SUV. This one, decked in Dragon Ball colors, is traveling the U.S. to promote the card game based on the most popular weeknight show on cable television.	Sonny Strait, the voice of Krillin in Dragon Ball, is piloting the DBZ card game Hummer across the country, and made an early November stop at the renewed Middle Tennessee Anime Convention in Nashville.
Strait was joined at the convention by Kira (sometimes Solar, sometimes Vincent-Davis), the voice of Ruri in the English-language Martian Successor Nadesico.	Another Nadesico voice, actor Tiffany Grant, made an early dealers' room appearance to look for new Evangelion and Sorcerer Hunters merchandise.
Actor Jackson Hamlett was on hand to tell fans about the world of voice acting, and to talk about his move back from the West Coast to his home town of Nashville.	Bill Timoney, the English-language Parn from Record of Lodoss War, also has a Nashville stage show background - including work at Opryland, which is a few miles north of the convention site.
And you probably didn't know that the English-language Ryo-ohki, Debi Derryberry, also started her career in Nashville, and even has recorded a country music album with a couple of friends.	In Nashville to watch it all, and maybe record some of the show, were filmmakers Stephen and Suzie Lackey, who were on hand to discuss their convention fandom film.
