When you look at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Anime Central's fourth home
in five year, you understand why the convention's organizers nicknamed
the place the "Hyatt Macross." The building looks a little like the space
structures in the animated series... |

...and like the fictional Macross City, which was built inside a spaceship,
the Hyatt has a lot inside. This ten-story atrium is supported by a central
tower which also carries four elevators. |

While Anime Central's location has changed, they haven't changed the master
of ceremonies for the opening ceremonies; Carl Horn, writer and Viz manga
editor. |

Things took a typically weird turn with the introduction of C.B. Cebulski,
now assembling manga projects for Marvel comics, and producer Jeff Thompson
of The Right Stuf. |

Translator Neil Nadleman took a ribbing with a never-ending "posse" joke. |

Actor Amy Howard Wilson replied "We don't have a posse," and artist Bruce
Lewis said "We'll use Neil's." |
