| Each year, Anime North puts on an opening day stage show. Its name,
the "Red and White Show," refers both to the annual New Year's Eve TV musical
in Japan and to the colors of the Canadian national flag. This show was
just for fun, with performances by Sailor Jamboree, singer Elaina Lang,
Tristen Citrine and Lisa Honeychan, a group of Jem and the Holograms lookalikes,
Steve tremblay and his matrial arts students, and J-rock fans. From the
show's audience, people were brought on stage to howl like Godzille and
walk like Ed from Cowboy Bebop (the winner said he's never heard of Cowboy
Bebop, but was told that Ed walked on his hands, so he did). |
