Sometimes, this site leaves the familiar world of anime conventions for
the unfamiliar world of sci-fi and gaming conventions. This is what
you'd expect to see from the 30,000 people who attend the Gen Con Game
Fair...
...but go into the convention's exhibit hall, head to the middle of the
room, and suddenly it seems oddly familiar - as if you went to a gaming
convention and an anime con broke out.
These big reproductions of game cards look like something you'd see at an anime event...
...and they lead you to some of the largest signs at the dealers' room.
which are at the Upper Deck booth and its Yu-Gi-Oh display, fueled by
the surprisingly successful movie.
But it's not just Yu-Gi-Oh. Next to the Upper Deck booth is Score
Entertainment, and they're selling a card game based on the other hot
TV anime series, InuYasha.
