Actor and director Michael Sinterniklaas said he had a sore thumb, but his voice and humor were in great shape.
Then came the attack of the ADV Films voice actors, where the
convention took the risk of placing on the stage Chris Patton, Monica
Rial, Vic Mignogna and Greg Ayres.
Then, the covention staff announced that the Japanese guests of honor
were still traveling around the Baltimore and District of Columbia area
and wouldn't appear at the ceremonies. Of course, they walked on stage
a few minutes after that announcement, led by Takeshi Honda, the
Evangelion animation director.
Next up was Hidenori Matsubara, character designer for the Oh My
goddessand Sakura Taisen anime, who said he was glad to be back in the
region after his Anime USA appearance in 2002.
Following was Inaba Tetsu, manga artist who was impressed with the
number of Katsucon cosplayers, and joked that he should dress as Totoro.
And Corey, who took the risk of wearing a Detroit Lions sweater in
Washington Redskins territory, whipped up the crowd for his weekend
game shows.
