The 2004 Ohayocon opening ceremony had a sentai theme, but the people
involved didn't wear sentai outfits. They were the volunteer staff who
run the convention, and they introduced the guests of honor...
...beginning with Steve Bennett of Studio Ironcat, who offered thanks
from manga artist Shimpei Itoh, who appeared at Ohayocon in 2003.
Animator Jan Scott-Frazier, who is moving back home to Colorado, said
Ohayocon was going to be her last convention appearance for a while.
Emily DeJesus was represented Studio Capsule at the ceremonies, since
Robert DeJesus was busy with his drawings in the dealers' room.
From Michigan came Imbrium Studios' Yad Ming Mui and Eric Whelan, who
apologized that their supply of new books wasn't delivered in time for
the convention .
From California came Keith Burgess of Manga Entertainment, who thanked Ohayocon for renting him a van in 2003.
