Here are the subjects - some might say `victims' - of the last two
Ohayocon charity roasts, which raised money for the American Cancer
Society. Standing is 2003 honoree Toshi Yoshida, and sitting is 2004
honoree Amanda Winn Lee.
|

Lee had to put up with the party stories from the pictured Jan
Scott-Frazier and others. Yoshida recalled a Lee drinking game called
"up the river, down the river," and he had stories about how Lee twice
accidentally got black eyes at conventions (which explains the
sunglasses she was seen to wear).
|

Before Lee moved to California to start the independent Gaijin
Productions, she worked for ADV Films, where producer David Williams
remembered how Lee tried to make a party drink named after the Blue
Seed series, then couldn't remember her home address.
|

Much of Lee's California work has been for Manga Entertainment, and
producer Keith Burgess. He told a story about a fan at a Louisiana
convention who tried to get too familiar with Lee, and received some
baleful stared for his trouble.
|

Jason Lee, Amanda's husband, spent his time at the podium with a
version of one of his famed stand-up comedy acts, where he ragged on
everyone at the dias. There's no way we could reproduce what he said
about his wife for a family audience...
|

...but we can note a small bit of what ADV's Matt Greenfield mentioned,
mostly when he said Lee once brought her "better than sex chocolate
cake" to the studio.
