No two conventions handle their opening ceremonies the same, and
Tekkoshocon gave their event to TJ, who did his version of a
Letterman-style host.

However, this ceremony took a different direction. Members of the volunteer staff took the stage...

...to tell the fans about their departments and the weekend's events - and most of the staff members were named "Dave."
|
There was one memorable presentation on the right way to wear a convention badge...

...and the wrong way.

All this time, the real guests of honor were left to wonder what would happen when they got on stage.
