Anime Central - Opening Ceremonies - 2005 Page 3 of 3 Previous Page   Anime convention fan turned actor Clarine Harp appeared to talk about her Burst Angel dub work for Funimation. Animator and translator Jan Scott Frazier had spent a week relaxing in Chicagoland before the convention got started. The droll and low-key Fred Gallagher, artist of the Megatokyo online comic, greeted his fans. Not quite as relaxed was artist Doug Smith, who has relaunched his voice acting career... ...and artist Bruce Lewis, author of a freshly-released manga drawing book. There were traditional dancers in the Japanese style, Sally Suzuki and Yusuke Wakamisho. And the ceremonies were ended by a little girl who declared the convention to be underway.
