Katsucon Opening Ceremonies 2005 Page 1 of 2   Next Page Richard "Pocky" Kim, a veteran of the early days of East Coast convention fandom, was the chair for Katsucon in 2005... ...but it was co-chair Collette Fozard who announced that the convention was moving into the District of Columbia for 2006, using the Omni Shoreham hotel at Connecticut Ave. and rock Creek Park. Then came a guest of honor who looked and sounded like Kiba from Wolf's Rain. It was Johnny Yong Bosch, who played Kiba in the dub and made his costuming debut. Artist Rikki Simons had to wheel his wife Tavisha to the stage. A couple of weeks earlier, Tavisha had fractured an ankle tripping over the family cat. Another actor, another costumer. Greg Ayres, who voiced Chrono in the Chrono Crusade dub, finally got to wear the Chrono costume made by an expert costuming fan.
