The unlikely anime convention event, a wedding, was staged at the
unusual time of 1 a.m. and the atypical place of Ohayocon's green room
near the top of the convention's hotel.
Award-winning Michigan costumer Bob Baranek got married to T.J, a
woman he had met a couple of years earlier. Before
the ceremony. Bennett dispensed advice on how to make a marriage work,
in spite of conventions.
Frazier, who presided at the convention wedding of Robert and Emily
DeJesus at Anime Central, also joined Bob and T.J. into matrimony. It
was a touching ceremony, full of young love...
...that got odd when the bride threw her bouquet into the room. A
competitive Monica Rial caught the flowers, celebrated for a moment,
then realized the superstition that goes along with catching the
bouquet.
In a moment of panic, Rial tried to pass the bouquet off onto another young woman in the room and failed.
