Cosplay Book
and Cosplay Picture Sales The "A Fan's View" cosplay book is on sale for $25. It's been purchased by cosplay and anime fans at conventions around the U.S., and by online orders through this site - even by a fan in Japan! What you'll find in the book are printed pages that look much like the Fan's View web pages - look here for a closer view of a sample page. The pictures come from the library of anime convention costuming pictures taken over the last six years, and the background images are some of the same files that have decorated the web site pages. Just as with the web site, the idea is to use pictures and words to tell a story - the story of the creative people who make the costumes that grace conventions around the U.S. As the anime convention phenomenon has grown over the last few years, this site has covered the rise of cosplay. We've shown the pictures and sat in on the panel discussions of cosplay techniques, but now it's time to take a closer look at the people who make the costumes. They have some wonderful stories to tell about how they took their first tentative steps into the cosplay world, and improved their skills and confidence with each outfit they created. Those stories are the heart of the cosplay book. We've interviewed some of the most creative costumers in North America about their hobby. In the book, you'll be able to read about those costumers, find the reasons they put so much time and effort into their activity, and learn how they create their costumes. Along with those interviews and photo features, we've published pictures of convention costumers.
