Hightower -
Anime
Convention Personality of the Week - January 21, 2007
The
secret to artists' alley success isn't in the pen or the wrist or even
in the paper; it's in the gadget that holds the art together. Robert "Hightower" Navarro
had enough confidence in his art to stop working for someone else and
set out on the anime convention circuit. He had some unique concepts
about what art would sell in artists' alleys, had tested his ideas at
events in Texas and figured it was time to hit the road and learn how
people would react in other states. But first, he had to find that one,
vital piece of equipment that would let him create finished artwork, a
laminator. Hightower desperately needed one so his could create items
ready for sale, but most of the laminators at office supply stores
wouldn't stand up to the job. Finally, Hightower found the right
device, light enough to be carried but strong enough to stand up to the
pounding. With the final piece of the puzzle in place, Hightower was
ready to offer his wares and move toward an inevitable success...
