Known World Players - Anime Convention Personalities of the Week - Feb. 26, 2006
It's
fashionable among costumers to make outfits based on fighting video
games, complete with weapons. What would happen if those costumers
actually fought each other? That's where the Known World Players step
onto the stage. It's said that this group started with renfair battle
reenactments, then expanded their presentations to include anime
fighting games. The beneficiaries have been fans at the recent Middle
Tennessee Anime Conventions, who have gotten to enjoy the group's
carefully choreographed shows. In 2004 they presented a Soul Calibur
show and in 2005, they progressed to Samurai Showdown. In 2006, the
group stepped away from games but stayed in the anime world with
battles based on Revolutionary Girl Utena, which has as many fights as
some of the video games.
