Scott Simpson - Anime Convention Personality of the Week - March 26, 2000

He's performed what one fan called a "mean Shakespeare" on stage and he's moving into the world of radio drama. But, Scott Simpson's mark on anime fandom was made with one dubbed role in a little five-episode OAV series that has one of two names (some people still love to argue about whether it should be Oh My Goddess or Ah! My Goddess). The role of Keiichi left an indelible impression on fandom, and beyond. Scott was so good in the role that he nearly was typecast until he moved into a new role with the Earthian series. Along with his sweetheart, Juliet Cesario (who was Belldandy in the Goddess series), Simpson is part of a duo which could become the Lunt and Fontaine of the dubbing world, with eyes on radio drama that will be available on a new web site. (This Scott Simpson, by the way, is not related to the pro golfer by the same name.)
