Wrote a visitor to this site: "I'd like to nominate Mark Nguyen for
personality of the week. Mark has been one of the biggest leaders for
anime fandom in the province of Alberta. He's been a longtime staffer
(running cosplay and live events) of Animethon (largest free anime
festival in North America). The past few years, he's been doing anime
improv at various anime conventions (Anime Evolution, Anime North,
Sakura-Con) and festivals (Animethon). I can't think of anyone that's
done more the last few years for the growth of anime fandom in
Alberta." However, this kind note was a cover story for Nguyen's true
purpose: traveling to anime conventions to turn unsuspecting guests
into "honorary Canadians."
