Stripper Vash -
Anime
Convention Personality of the Week - June 17, 2007
Despite
its organizational strangeness, there's one place where Anime Central
can be considered an undisputed success. The midwest convention has
generated three original costuming personalities, and for once, they're
all male. This site already has chronicled the exploits of Sailor
Bubba, probably the most popular - or notorious - personality named by
this page. There's also Card Captor Will, whose short skirts and
spectacular legs have gotten him invited to a convention as a guest of
honor. By those standards, it's overdue for this site to add Stripper
Vash to the personality list. The legend of Zach began at an Anime
Central, held during the era when Trigun was a novelty among American
fans, and it was extremely fashionable to dress as Valentinez

III. At an Anime Central costume contest, Zach set himself apart from
the other Vash costumes by finding a way to more or less credibly get
out of his red coat on stage. Moralists shuddered, most fans laughed
and enough females were intrigued that Zach was inspired to do it again
and again at other conventions. Now, some fans are disappointed when
Zach keeps his clothes on.
