This costumer is an inspiration to all right-thinking anime fans, because he doesn't take himself seriously. It takes a special person to turn himself into a public parody, but Sailor Bubba is one of those people. And on top of everything else, he's also crazy enough to be a convention volunteer. It started as a joke at Anime Central in 1999, when Bubba sported a Sailor Moon outfit. Most fans got the joke and enjoyed the parody, and the legend was born. Bubba extended the costuming outrage to Marionette Lime in 2000, and this time he had the audacity to get on stage during the costume contest. In 2001 the conspiracy expanded to include Pretty Sammy, complete with what seemed to be a cast-iron wand. |
