Teeth Productions, the creators of comics and videos that that have
become popular with the gaming generation. The fancy names are machine
cinema and machinima, the phrases for animation made from manipulating
video games so the characters - with the help of a script and some
acting - create a story. Rooster Teeth uses versions of the Halo video
game to make their movies, the Red vs. Blue series. It takes a vivid
imagination to turn a violent first-person shoot-em-up into a comedy,
and maybe thatcomes from the weather...Rooster Teeth comes from Texas,
and maybe the heat boils something away and leaves only the humor that
they exploit in their productions. To believe it, you need to go to
conventions such as A-Kon where Rooster Teeth's fans celebrate their
heroes. Those guys are even at home at Gen Con Indy, where they attract
some of the people who take games very seriously.
