Determined
anime fans can become anything if they want it badly enough. For a few
minutes, they can turn themselves into their favorite song and dance
stars on stage. The young women of the USA Musume troupe really like the
Japanese stars of Morning Musume, so much that they decided to become
Morning Musume, American style. While it's easy to listen to the
original group's music and videos, it's not easy to duplicate their
costumes and performing styles. USA Musume's members have learned, more
than any other U.S. fans, that those enthusiastic performances in the
videos take an exceptional amount of rehearsal before the show - and a
lot of energy during the show. Yet, it's more than worth the effort for
the performers and the spectators for these lovely young women (and
their "evil producer") to pursue their goals. The performances match
the originals, and so does the group; just as with Morning Musume, USA
Musume's members "graduate" from the group and new members are
recruited.
